“The Golden Imprint” is an art photography project between the Madrid-based Vietnamese photographer Viet Ha Tran, and the Ho Chi Minh City-based Vietnamese leading fashion designer Van Thanh Cong to promote Vietnamese tradition and fashion to the world.
The photos from “The Golden Imprint” with hand-made tradition-inspired costumes was inspired by the phoenix and motifs on ancient Dong Son bronze drums of Vietnam and try to draw a picture of Vietnamese tradition and art. The background, a temple in Ho Chi Minh City, helps transmiting a traditional Asian atmosphere to the audience.
Designer Van Thanh Cong's designs have appeared in the most prestigious fashion events such as Miss World Universe, Miss World Vietnam, Miss Vietnam Woman World USA, Miss International Queen, Miss Vietnam in USA etc as well as major fashion magazines in Vietnam. Most recently, his design was performed by Miss India 2013 Ruhani Sharma at the Asian Fashion Week 2014 in Indonesia.
The photoshoot had the participation of the three Vietnamese supermodels Dieu Huyen, Oanh Di, Nhu Van, and the renowned accessory designer Do Van Tri.
